SHOULD- A Disease

People nowadays have one serious and common disease called “SHOULD”. Especially the people of developing or underdeveloped countries use this word again and again in their daily talking. For example people say “this should be happen”, “That should be happen”, “ We should do this” or “They should do this” etc . You must have seen in our daily newspapers the interviews of our leaders saying “We should down our population growth rate” or “We should increase our rate of literacy” blah blah.

Readers, these types of “SHOULD” talkings are not practical and end with nothing. SHOULD is a word that has no relation with the past and neither with the future and it penetrate in every place. It is just like marine borers, who eat our ambitions like a wood.

People often talk about the past and say “We should build a dam 10 years back to control our electricity shortage problem”, they talk about the past which we cannot change. Then this word came to our present and then to future. It continuously revolves around our past, present and future and gives no benefit. People of the lower level countries stuck with this word and that’s why they don’t succeed.

Every single person in the underdeveloped countries doesn’t take responsibility and just talk about the bad things of his or her society. It is very easy to make good words out of mouth but it is very hard to do some practical work. People just think that an individual cannot change himself but society should change. They don’t know the reality and the power of an individual in a society. If an individual show some practical working like following the traffic rules, the government laws and taking care of his partners in the society, he can make a big change. If he is using bus instead of car, he is saving gas and petrol. If he is using low volt bulb or energy savers, he is saving electricity and contributes great for the well being of society. If an individual cut down his daily diet, he can save food for at least one man in the society.

So we should stop saying SHOULD and do some practical working to play a real role in the society.
